Create smooth, continuous outdoor edge lighting along patios, steps, fences, pergolas, railings, trees, and landscape borders. Each system uses 320 COB LEDs per meter to produce an approximately 180° line of light with fewer visible dark spots than an ordinary LED strip.
Choose a 16.4–164.0 ft (5–50 m) illuminated rope length, a separate 16.4–32.8 ft (5–10 m) connection cable, and White or Warm White light. Each configuration includes a solar panel, a matched LiFePO4 energy-storage system, and remote timer control.
How the Solar Rope Light System Works
The solar panel charges the energy-storage unit during the day, and the rope lights turn on automatically after dark. The remote provides 5-hour, 8-hour, and 10-hour timer settings. These settings control the requested schedule; they do not guarantee the same runtime in every season or weather condition. Nightly performance varies with direct sunlight, shade, rope length, panel cleanliness, temperature, and battery condition.
Choose the Right Rope and Connection-Cable Lengths
Measure two routes separately before ordering. The rope-light length is the illuminated route. The connection-cable length is the unlit distance from the solar power unit to the beginning of the rope light. A longer connection cable allows the panel to reach a sunnier location but does not add illuminated length.
Rope-Light Configuration by Selected Length
| Selected rope length |
Supplied light-run configuration |
| 16.4–82.0 ft (5–25 m) |
One continuous rope-light run |
| 98.4 ft (30 m) |
Two 49.2 ft (15 m) runs |
| 114.8 ft (35 m) |
One 49.2 ft (15 m) run and one 65.6 ft (20 m) run |
| 131.2 ft (40 m) |
Two 65.6 ft (20 m) runs |
| 164.0 ft (50 m) |
Two 82.0 ft (25 m) runs |
The 30–50 m configurations connect both rope-light runs to the solar power system through a 1-to-2 splitter. Use separate systems for disconnected areas or zones that need independent schedules.
Light Color and Control Options
-
White: A crisper appearance for clearer edge visibility.
-
Warm White: A softer tone for patios, pergolas, gardens, and decorative landscape borders.
-
Automatic operation: Charges during the day and turns on after dark.
-
Remote timer: Select a 5-hour, 8-hour, or 10-hour lighting schedule.
Installation and Weather Protection
The 0.39 × 0.20 in (10 × 5 mm) rope follows straight sections and gentle curves. Secure it without crushing, twisting, or sharply bending the light, and keep the connection cable away from walking routes, vehicle traffic, and standing water.
The rope can be cut every 2 in (5 cm) only at the marked cutting points. Every cut end and connector must be properly resealed before outdoor use. The IP65-rated system is designed for outdoor dust, rain, and splashes when all connections and cut ends are sealed; it is not designed for immersion or use in standing water.
